The No Child Left Behind law requires that teachers are highly qualified in their content area(s) and that paraprofessionals can demonstrate ability to assist mathematics classes. In addition, national and state math standards can only be meaningful if classroom teachers expand their understanding not only of mathematics across all strands but also of pedagogy and teaching tools.

With extensive background in mathematics education at all levels we offer a wide range of math content workshops to meet the differing needs of schools. We will work with the sponsoring school to develop workshops that are timely, meaningful, productive, and tailored to meet your goals.

   Common requests include:

Growth of a strand across several grades
Effective use of manipulatives for conceptual understanding
Alternative methods for teaching computation
Building home/school partnerships through Family Math and Family Science
Inservice Workshops
