to see ideas in practice, classroom residencies are ideal. A residency
offers teachers many opportunities to reflect on best practices by observing
classroom dynamics, assessing student learning, and developing strategies
for change.
Typically ranging from 2-5 days, residencies consist of demonstration
lessons with students while classroom teachers observe. Following the
lessons time is devoted to debrief with teachers and teams, reflecting
on the lessons and making plans for further implementation. |
